Sipki AI Archive: Privacy Policy
api.lemonsqueezy.com, made only by the Pro build and only after you enter a licence key. No chat content is ever sent anywhere.Sipki AI Archive is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or xAI. Product names are used only to say which data exports the extension can read.
1. What the extension reads
Files you choose. The main way to add chats is Import. You download the data export that ChatGPT, Claude or Google Takeout (Gemini Apps activity) offers you, and you pick that file in the extension. The file is read inside your browser. The extension does not log in to any service and does not contact any of them.
The Gemini page, only when you click. On gemini.google.com the extension shows a Save button. It reads the text of the conversation open in that tab only when you press the button. There is no automatic saving and no background reading. The extension has no access to any other website.
Chat text is your own personal content and can include anything you wrote to an AI assistant. It is stored only locally, as described below.
Permissions
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
storage | Store your chats, folders, tags, settings and licence status in your browser. |
sidePanel | Show the archive in Chrome's side panel. |
Site access https://gemini.google.com/* | Show the Save button and read the open conversation when you click it. |
Site access https://api.lemonsqueezy.com/* (Pro build only) | Activate and re-check a Pro licence key. |
2. Where data is stored
Saved chats, folders, tags and the integrity hash chain are stored in your browser's IndexedDB for this extension. Encryption is optional and off until you set a password. Without a password, chats are stored unencrypted and anyone with access to your browser profile can read them. If you set a password, chats are encrypted with AES-256-GCM using a key derived from your password (PBKDF2-SHA-256, 310,000 iterations). The password is never stored. The derived key is kept only in Chrome's temporary session storage while the vault is unlocked and is cleared when the browser closes or you lock the vault. There is no password recovery.
In chrome.storage.local the extension keeps one display setting (show or hide the Save button on Gemini) and, in the Pro build, your licence key, its activation ID and the time of the last successful licence check.
3. What leaves your device
- Chat content: nothing, in either build.
- Free build: the extension makes no network connections.
- Pro build, licence activation: when you enter a licence key, the extension sends that key and a random installation name to
https://api.lemonsqueezy.com/v1/licenses/activate. - Pro build, licence check: at most once every 7 days the extension sends the key and its activation ID to
https://api.lemonsqueezy.com/v1/licenses/validate. If the server cannot be reached, Pro keeps working for up to 14 days after the last successful check.
As with any internet request, Lemon Squeezy's servers also receive your IP address and standard request data when the check runs. The extension's own code makes no other network calls, and its content security policy allows its pages to connect only to its own files and, in the Pro build, to api.lemonsqueezy.com.
Buying Pro. “Get Pro” opens Lemon Squeezy's checkout page in a normal browser tab. Payments are processed by our reseller Lemon Squeezy, not by Google. What you enter on the checkout page is collected by Lemon Squeezy under its own privacy policy.
4. What we, Sipki, LLC, receive
We receive no chat content, no browsing data and no usage analytics. When you buy Pro, Lemon Squeezy makes your order details available to us, for example your name, e-mail address, country, order number and licence status. We use them only to deliver and support your licence, process refunds, prevent fraud and keep the records that tax and accounting law requires. If you write to support, we receive what you send and use it only to answer you.
We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and support messages for as long as needed to resolve your request. You can ask for access to or deletion of this data as described in Data requests.
5. Limited Use
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
The extension does not receive data through Google APIs. We apply the same limits to all user data the extension handles:
- it is used only for the extension's single purpose: importing, saving, searching and organising your own AI chats;
- it is not transferred to anyone, except the licence key and activation data sent to Lemon Squeezy as described above, or where required by law;
- it is not used, transferred or sold for personalised advertising, and not sold to advertising platforms, data brokers or other information resellers;
- it is not used, transferred or sold to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes;
- no person at Sipki, LLC can read your chats, because they never leave your device.
6. Your control
You can export all chats (JSON or Markdown), delete any chat, or remove everything by uninstalling the extension, which deletes its local storage. Exports are files you save and control yourself.
7. Children
The extension is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly receive data from them.
8. Changes
If this policy changes, we will publish the new version on this page with a new version number and effective date. If a change would ever send chat content off your device, we will describe it in the Chrome Web Store listing before release and will not apply it to data saved before the change without your consent.
Version history: 1.2 (2026-10-16) covers the rename to Sipki AI Archive, the Free and Pro builds and the terms of sale.
